Thy (Cinematic) Summer Shall Not Fade...

In honor of Valentine's Day (a day late, we know), Mocha and Latte have compiled a list of some of our favorite movie scenes and love songs we think have stood the test of time.

Billy Shakespeare would approve.

See the list and videos under the cut!

10. The Paperman (not to be confused with the much less romantic The Paperboy)

Sure, this Disney short was released only this year, but it's an instant classic. Also, for some reason, it reminds us of The Rocketeer, one of the best (and most underrated films) of our childhoods.

Video won't upload, but you can watch here: http://www.movieweb.com/movie/paperman/full-movie

9. I'm Your Man

Caution: this song is hot. Lyrics by the inimitable Leonard Cohen, sung by Michael Buble.

8. Phone Scene from "Sleepless in Seattle"

It's hard to believe this movie came out almost TWENTY YEARS AGO. Tom Hanks at his adorable, rom-com best, talking (in really idealized ways, we know!) about his deceased wife. And the kid who plays his son, Jonah, is just perfect.

7. The Decemberists, "Red Right Ankle"

Beautiful band, beautiful song.

6. "Age of Aquarius" from  "The 40 Year Old Virgin"

A romantic comedy which ends with a gypsy themed marriage? We know Shakespeare would love that sh*&^!

5. Reality Bites

While "500 Days of Summer" is great at showing the high of love, we think its depiction of what happens after the love is gone is even more touching.

4. Gene Kelly, Rita Hayworth, Old Hollywood Glamour

"Cover Girl" is definitely no "Singin' in the Rain", but this song is wonderful.

3. You want us to pick "The Princess Bride" for Number 3? As you wish.

How beautiful were pre-"Saw" Cary Elwes and pre-Sean Penn Robin Wright?!

2. When Harry  Proclaimed his (Long-gestating) Love for Sally

Harry's kind of a dick, but played by Billy Crystal, his neuroticism and self obsession are totally endearing.

1. What All Other Romantic Films Aspire to Be...

We ship harder for Rick and Captain Renault than Rick and Ilsa, TBH.
