And because it's Tuesday, what better way to celebrate our return to the blogosphere than with a post on the songs that we just can't get enough of?
Check them out under the cut!
5) Miracle Mile, Cold War Kids
The first time we heard this song, we could've sworn it was Brandon Flower's dulcet tones we were hearing. But nay! 'Twas the incredibly catchy new(ish) single by the Cold War Kids.
Listen, enjoy, try not to sing along with that refrain.
4) Lightning Bolt, Jake Bugg
Love this "early Dylan"-esque song. But, Jake, you already know we have a complex about our age. The fact that you're only 19 (and this talented) is really not helping us out.
3) How You Like Me Now, The Heavy
We just heard this four-year old song earlier this month, and love it. Featured in the film "Horrible Bosses", it's got a sexy, Mo-town meets dirty rock'n'roll feel. You know you want this song playing when you run into an ex whilst looking amazing and oh-so-over it.
2) Strip-tease, Hawksley Workman
Like "How You Like Me Now", this song is older and super sexy. We've also been hearing it in weird places lately (ESSC beach volleyball game, anyone?) and are continually reminded of what a great tune it is.
1) Fitz and the Tantrums, Out of My League
So 80s, so dance-y, an adorable addition to your summer playlist.
